Dr Oscar Weiss is a stem cell researcher fallen on hard times. After a mental breakdown he spent some time in a psychiatric hospital and is now homeless. A google search throws up a few publications on stem cells from early in his PhD as well as mentions in his mother's and father's Wikipedia entries. His mother is a mathematician and his father a broadcaster. He looks dishevelled, his clothes are faded and stained and he smells strongly of alcohol. He appears to be about 45.
